Making these right now. Added an extra 2 tbsp of water and am baking in a 9x9 pan. I also mixed up 4oz of cream cheese, an egg, 2 tbsp of milk and 1/4 tsp of vanilla extract and swirled into the chocolate mixture.

I followed these instructions plus add a sip more of water, and there in the oven baking now, probably take them out in 20mins! Look 'n smell yummy!

I used a devils food cake mix, and substituted butter for the oil, these were pretty good. I did add more water for easier spreading in the pan, and also made a milk chocolate frosting for the top. I do prefer a brownie mix over these, they are not chewy.

This recipe was tasty. However, the batter was very thick and difficult to fit in a 9x13 pan. I couldn't stretch the globby dough to hit the sides of a pan. I recommend a 9x9 pan.

Made these last night. Added walnuts. Verdict: More cakey than brownies, more chewy than cake This is a good recipe for the desperate who are jonesing for a brownie fix, ( especially satisfying when taken straight out of the oven and eaten warm).

Just popped them in the oven! The mixture looked really thick (it reminded me of play-dough) and tasted kind of bitter. I would suggest to had 5 tbsp of water and 1 tbsp of milk. This looks really good!! I'm so excited to try these out!

Pretty dang good! I'm at a higher elevation. I did the exact ingredients except subbed butter for the oil. I added 1/2 milk chocolate chips. It was a little more cakey than I like it, but the chocolate chips seemed to take care of that! Added a layer of whip cream and it made it more moist and chew :) my husband loved them!

I am waiting for them to come out of the oven. I substituted the egg for 1/3 cup and 1tbsp of unsweetened apple sauce. I can't wait to try themmmmm!

 Ella (United States) says:
The brownies are really easy to make and I was craving something sweet, and I did the exact recipe, even with the 9 x 13 pan, which I would suggest going with the 9 x 9 since they came out really thin, but overall they were easy to make and they satisfied my sweet needs, but the only problem was they weren't chocolaty enough for me, I usually like things super chocolatey though, but I bet if your the same as me and you added some chocolate chips or something to add a little more richness they would be excellent.

My family loved these although I did change the recipe slightly. I used the 8x8. covered the whole surface with walnut and unsweetened coconut, sprinkled brown sugar over top before adding the cake mix. Yum!!

 Carole (Pennsylvania) says:
Followed the recipe, except I added a cream cheese/milk swirl and topped with chopped walnuts. Texture was between cake and brownie and not quite sweet enough, so I sprinkled cooled brownies with confectioners sugar, nuked individual servings 2 at a time for 20 secs. to warm, and served them with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and they were a hit. Verdict: Good, but not as good as a brownie mix.
