Wow, I was really surprised at how good this simple and quick recipe was!! I used 12 oz. of cranberries and cooked on medium heat for about 15-20 min., stirring quite often. Only one person in my family eats cranberry sauce, I bought a can (just in case). It was a hit. 5/6 people loved it. Thanks.

I use equal amounts of water and sugar. Then a whole package or pound of cranberries. I buy the cranberries and freeze them so I can make fresh cranberry sauce any time of the year. This recipe is for sure worth trying, you may never again buy canned cranberry sauce when you know how easy it is to make from scratch!

Make the homemade. Dead easy, quick, simple to do, tastes MUCH better, and about the same cost as a canned sauce -

I make my own cranberry sauce every year, but I add some orange peel zest (none of the white part) and substitute one cup of OJ for one cup of the water. Nice tang, and added interest. Smells amazing, gels nicely, and family loves it!!

I have tried this recipe and it tastes so good that I have made it for the last 2 years for Thanksgiving. It is so easy.

I love making mine substituting half cranberry juice and half Sangria, or a rose wine for the water, with orange zest. Substituting orange juice as suggested above for half the cranberry juice or sangria, or any combination of these, is good.
