WHOLE CRANBERRY SAUCE
1 (12 oz.) pkg. fresh cranberries
1 cup sugar
1 cup cold water

Wash cranberries well.

In a saucepan, combine cranberries, sugar and water.

Boil over high heat until cranberries pop open. This will take about 5 minutes.

Allow to cool.

Taste and adjust sweetness as desired. Honey may be substituted for sugar; use a little less at first; more may be stirred in if needed when cranberry sauce has chilled. Orange juice can be used instead of the water to make cranberry orange sauce.

This is a whole berry sauce; not a jelled cranberry sauce.

Easy and delicious. The second time I added 4 sticks cinnamon and some nutmeg to the water as it boiled. It came out great.

This is a delicious and simple recipe! It was my first time making cranberry sauce, and the only difficult part was eliminating the soft cranberries. I highly recommend this recipe.
