SWEDISH MEATBALLS 
3/4 lb. lean ground beef
1/4 lb. lean ground pork
1 1/2 c. bread crumbs
3/4 c. milk
1 egg
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1 can mushrooms
1 garlic clove
1 bay leaf
1 can consomme
1 stick butter

Mix all except butter, consomme, mushrooms and bay leaf. Brown meatballs in butter and garlic. Remove meatballs to casserole. Add consomme, bay leaf and mushrooms. Bake 25 minutes at 350 degrees.
