ROCKY MOUNTAIN PIE 
Unbaked pie shell
Cooking apples
1 c. sugar
2 tbsp. flour
1/4 c. butter
Cream
2 tsp. vanilla

Place pie shell in a deep dish pan. Peel the apples and cut them in eighths. Arrange them in the pie shell in a pin wheel fashion. Mix the sugar and flour and sprinkle over the apples. Fill the crust to the brim with cream and dot with butter. Bake at 450 degrees for 10 minutes and then lower to 350 degrees and bake until done, about 45 minutes more. Take out the pie and immediately drop the vanilla extract on the pie in small drops.
