RED CABBAGE AND APPLE SALAD 
1 med. head red cabbage, cored & sliced thin
1 lg. tart apple, peeled, cored & cut in cubes
1 sm. green pepper, cut into strips
1 sm. onion, chopped fine
1/2 c. red wine vinegar
1 tbsp. honey
1/2 tsp. caraway seeds
1/8 tsp. black pepper
1/8 tsp. ground cloves

Combine cabbage, apple, green pepper and onion in a bowl and set aside.

In a saucepan over medium heat cook vinegar, honey, caraway seeds, black pepper and cloves. Let boil 1 minute. Pour this mixture over cabbage; toss well. Let sit for 30 minutes and serve.
