ITALIAN BISCUIT COOKIES 
5 c. flour
1 c. sugar
1 tbsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt if desired
1 c. shortening (Crisco or Spry), melted
4 eggs, room temperature
1 c. milk, warm
1 tbsp. lemon or vanilla

Put dry ingredients in a large bowl. Make a well and put liquid ingredients in well; mix well. Let stand an hour or two. You will be able to handle batter easier.

Take small amount of dough in hand and gently make a round circle. If dough is too moist, put a little flour on your hands. Grease cookie sheet. Bake at 375 degrees for 20 minutes or until done.
