COCONUT CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES 
1 cup (2 sticks) butter, softened
3/4 cup sugar
3/4 cup lightly packed brown sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs
2 1/4 cups unsifted all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
2 cups chocolate chips (12 oz.)
1 cup sweetened coconut flakes

Preheat oven to 375°F.

Cream butter, sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla until light and fluffy. Add eggs; beat well.

Combine flour, baking soda, and salt; gradually into creamed mixture. Stir in chips and coconut. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto cookie sheet.

Bake at 375°F for 8 to 10 minutes or until lightly brown. Cool slightly; remove from cookie sheet.

Makes 6 dozen cookies.
