KAHLUA 
5 c. sugar
5 c. water
1/3 c. instant coffee (not decaffeinated)
Approx. 2 inch vanilla bean or 1 tbsp. real vanilla extract
1 bottle (5th) vodka

Bring sugar and water to a good boil. Remove from heat, add coffee and vanilla bean. Let cool. Add bottle of vodka. Stir and put into bottles. I put the bean in the bottle, and even use again, in addition to the next time I make Kahlua. Store in a dark place for best results.
