INDIAN FRY BREAD
Dissolve 1 package yeast (1 tablespoon) in 1 cup warm water. Add 1/4 cup oil and 1 tablespoon sugar. Measure and combine 3 cups flour and 1 teaspoon salt in mixing bowl; add other ingredients. Dough should be soft but not sticky; more flour may be needed. Divide into portions and let the children knead it for 5 minutes.

Lightly oil inside of large bowl. Make ball of all dough and place in bowl. Turn dough over so oiled side is up. Cover with plastic or damp clean towel. let rise until double in bulk (about 2 hours). Punch down. Pull off chunks about size of table tennis ball; roll into a flat circle about 1/4 inch thick. Heat 1/2 inch oil until hot. Fry to golden brown; turn over. Remove and drain on paper towels. Eat while warm. Serves 16 to 18 children.
