CARAMEL CHEWS 
36 (10 oz.) vanilla caramels
1 c. corn flakes
1 c. crisp rice cereal
1 c. flaked coconut
1 c. chopped walnuts
3 tbsp. light cream

Place caramels and cream in top of double boiler over simmering water. Heat until caramels melt, stirring occasionally. Toss together cereal, coconuts and nuts. Pour melted caramels over above mixture. Stir with buttered spoon, mix thoroughly. Drop from teaspoon onto waxed paper. Makes about 2 dozen.
