These are absolutely delicious. I never have made Brownies from scratch, but the Kahula really puts the kicker into the flavor. The package mix is ok, but after making these, I wouldn't go back to them. The fudgy mix with the cake is wonderful. We are having a party on the 24th, approx 40 will be coming. and I think this will be a great topper. My concern is , can I make them a week ahead and put them into an airtight container? Would that affect them in any way?I have so many other dishes to make, I want to enjoy the party too. So that is my question.

Absolutely the best recipe for brownies I have ever used. They have a real flavor kick" . And, so easy to make. Throw those package mixes out and make these. You'll never make anything but these again. A real keeper, and a hit with everyone when you bring them to any function. Great way to make new friends.

I have the Kahlua handbook of recipes. It says to use a 9x9 pan instead of a 9x13 and to line the pan with aluminum foil. I doubled the recipe and used my 9x13 pan and the results were decadent.
