ASPARAGUS CASSEROLE | |
1 (No. 3) can asparagus, whole or bits 2 tbsp. butter 2 tbsp. flour 1/4 tsp. salt 1/8 tsp. pepper 1/2 c. bread crumbs 1 tbsp. melted butter Parmesan cheese Drain asparagus, saving the liquid. Place drained asparagus in buttered 1-quart casserole. Make a white sauce of the butter, flour and reserved liquid. Add salt and pepper and pour the sauce over asparagus. Add melted butter to bread crumbs and sprinkle over top. Sprinkle cheese over all and cook 30 minutes at 350 degrees. Serves 6. |
