ASPARAGUS CASSEROLE 
1 bunch fresh asparagus or 1 can
1 c. soft bread crumbs
1/3 c. dried buttered crumbs
2 c. milk
1/4 c. grated cheese
1/3 tsp. pepper
2 tbsp. flour
4 hard boiled eggs (chopped)
1 tsp. salt
3 tbsp. butter

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cut asparagus in 1 inch pieces, cook until tender; drain. Make a sauce of butter, flour, seasonings and bread crumbs. Put a layer of asparagus in bottom of 1 quart buttered casserole. Add sauce and half of hard boiled eggs. Repeat with additional layer. Sprinkle with dried buttered crumbs mixed with the cheese. Bake 20 minutes. Makes 4 servings.
