1 c. butter
2 c. sugar
4 eggs, separated
1 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
3 c. cake flour
3 tsp. baking powder
Pinch of salt

Beat egg whites; set aside. Cream butter and sugar. Add 4 egg yolks. To the above, add milk and vanilla alternately with cake flour, baking powder, and salt. Add beaten egg whites last. Grease and flour large tube pan. Bake at 325 degrees for 70 minutes. Remove from pan at once. Can be baked in long 9 x 13 inch pan for 60 minutes.
