HASH BROWN CASSEROLE 
1 lb. hash brown potatoes
1/4 lb. stick butter
1/2 c. onion
4 oz. shredded Cheddar cheese
8 oz. sour cream
1 can cream of chicken soup
1/2 tsp. salt
Dash garlic salt

TOPPING:

1 c. corn flakes or Ritz crackers
2 tbsp. butter, melted

Mix together the potatoes, butter, onion and cheese. Mix together sour cream, soup, salt, garlic salt and add to potato mixture. Place in large baking dish. Top with corn flakes and melted butter. Bake 1 hour without topping at 350 degrees; bake 1/2 hour more with topping. Serves 10.
