PULLA BREAD
4 eggs
1 c. sugar
1 1/4 c. warm milk
1 pkg. dry yeast
1/4 c. lukewarm water
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. crushed cardamom
7 c. flour
1/2 c. melted butter

Place eggs in mixing bowl. Beat with mixer until foamy. Add sugar a little at a time. Continue beating until sugar is well blended and thick. Add warm milk. Sprinkle yeast over warm water. Stir until dissolved, then add to egg and sugar mixture. Add salt, cardamom and 4 cups flour to liquid mix, beating flour a little at a time. Add about 3 cups more flour. Dough should be stiff enough to handle. Cover dough, let rise about 1 hour. Punch down. Remove from bowl. Divide into 2 balls. Cut each ball into 3 pieces. Roll each piece into a strand 15 to 18 inches. Braid loosely and tuck ends under. Place braid on greased pan. Cover. Let rise 1 1/2 hours. Bake at 325 degrees for 40 minutes.

Glaze:
1 egg white
1 tbsp. sugar

Place eggs in mixing bowl. Beat with mixer. Brush with glaze just before end of baking time.
