CHOCOLATE PIE 
3 tbsp. cocoa
3 tbsp. flour, all-purpose
1/2 tsp. salt
1 to 1 1/4 c. sugar
1 1/2 c. milk
3 eggs, separated (yolks in chocolate mixture)
1 tsp. vanilla
2 to 3 tbsp. butter
1 baked pie crust

Combine cocoa, flour, salt, sugar, milk and egg yolks. Heat over medium heat until thickened. Stir constantly. Add vanilla and butter. Pour into baked pie crust.

Beat egg whites, 3 tbsp. sugar and 1/2 tsp. cream of tartar until stiff. Cover chocolate. Brown topping.
