The brownies were really good! They were definitely worth the effort. I tried the 1 tbsp. of oil and it did wonders to the mix. More people should try it!

I took one reviewer's suggestion and added 2 tbsp. Of oil, I also had to omit the nuts, due to allergy. I didn't have devil's food on hand, but moist triple chocolate fudge cake mix. They are dense and moist and delicious! Next time, I might reduce the oil to 1 tbsp. However, because of the spray oil I used to grease the pan. Will make often for no fuss brownies!

I used a strawberry cake mix, and added 1 tbsp. oil. No nuts. Mixed well with a fork, and sprayed my hand in order to press it in the pan. Had no trouble with incorporating the liquid. It is extremely sticky. I drizzled with a couple tbsp. microwaved cream cheese frosting. Tasted like a pop tart. Very moist.

What I did that may have helped was add 2 tbsp. oil to the mixture. Most brownie recipes call for oil and I noticed this one did not. They came out really moist! I also used a stand mixer and I mixed the egg with the water before adding and I added the liquids slowly so it would distribute evenly.

I thought at first that I'd read the recipe wrong -- it's hard work to get that 1/4 cup of water spread evenly throughout! A fork works way better than a whisk. After dumping the batter in the pan as evenly as I could, I took another, smaller pan, wrapped it in plastic, sprayed some Pam on the plastic, and used that to press down the batter pretty evenly. It worked great.

I used a Pillsbury sugar-free devils food cake mix, and it all came out beautifully. I cut the pan into 24 small brownies, and it makes decadent 65 calorie treats!

Very easy to make and quick... Especially when your child comes home and tells you that he needs to bring something to his school bakesale the next day :)... Batter is thick but I just sprayed my fingers with a bit of pam and it was easy to press in pan. When it came out of the oven, I sprinkled them with icing sugar. I added no nuts since its a nut free school.

This batter was waaaay to thick. It was nearly impossible to spread evenly so the brownies cooked nearly burnt in spots and raw in the others.

Not for germ-free but for non-stick reasons, I put a sandwich bag over my hands to press in the batter. It worked very well!
