1 German chocolate cake mix
1 jar hot caramel ice cream topping
1 (12 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips

Mix cake mix as directed on box. Pour half the batter in a 9"x13" pan and bake at 325 degrees for 20 minutes or until middle is almost done. Remove from oven; pour caramel topping and chocolate chips and remaining batter on top. Return to oven for 20 more minutes or until the middle is done. No icing is needed.
