ITALIAN CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES 
1 c. butter Crisco
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. brown sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. anise extract
2 1/4 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 (6 oz.) bag chocolate chips
1/2 c. raisins
1/2 c. coconut
1/2 c. chopped maraschino cherries, drained
1/2 c. chopped nuts

Cream together butter, sugar, vanilla, and anise until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs. Sift together flour and soda and add to creamed mixture. Mix until well blended.

Fold in chocolate chips, raisins, coconut, cherries, and nuts. Bake at 350 degrees for 10-12 minutes.
