MRS. F.'S CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES 
1 c. butter, softened
1 c. sugar
1 c. brown sugar
2 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla
2 c. flour
2 1/2 c. oatmeal
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
12 oz. pkg. chocolate chips
1 (4 oz.) Hershey bar
1 1/2 c. chopped nuts

(Double everything if you're a real cookie lover!) Place small amounts of the oatmeal in a dry blender until it is powder. Set aside. Grate the 4 ounce Hershey bar. Set aside. Cream together the butter, sugar, and brown sugar. Add the eggs and vanilla. Slowly blend in by hand the flour, the oatmeal powder, salt, baking powder, and baking soda. Blend well. Slowly add the chocolate chips, grated Hershey bar, and finely chopped nuts.

Form the dough into small "golf balls". Place 2 inches apart on an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 375 degrees for 6 minutes. Enjoy! Makes 5-6 dozen.
