MARINATED SLAW 
1 lg. cabbage
1 green pepper
2 onions
1 c. sugar

Chop cabbage, pepper and onion. Mix together and add 1 cup sugar.

DRESSING:

1 tbsp. + 1 tsp. sugar
1 c. vinegar
3/4 c. salad oil
1 tsp. dry mustard
1 tsp. celery seed
1 tbsp. salt

Mix all above ingredients and bring to a boil. Pour boiled mixture over cabbage mixture in a large bowl. Seal in air tight container. Do not stir or uncover for at least 4 hours. Keeps in refrigerator for a week or more.
