BEEF BRISKET IN BEER (BARBEQUE)
2-3 lb. beef brisket
2 tbsp. oil
1 1/2 c. beer
1 lg. onion
1 bay leaf
1 tbsp. vinegar
2 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 c. chili sauce
1 tsp. chili powder

Preheat oven to 300 degrees. Brown the brisket in oil on both sides. (I use my Dutch oven). Add the remaining ingredients, cover with the lid and bake three hours or until tender. Remove the beef and slice for serving, put aside. Boil the remaining liquid until you have about one cup remaining. Pour over the sliced beef and serve piping hot. Serves about 8.
