BEEF BRISKET IN BEER 
1 (4 lb.) beef brisket, trim off all fat
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/2 jar chili sauce
2-3 tsp. garlic powder
1 lg. onion, sliced
1 can beer

Place brisket in 9 x 13 inch pan (if you have a rack, use it). Top with garlic powder, then brown sugar, and last slices of onion. Pour chili sauce on top of the above. Pour a can of beer over all of this. Cover tightly with foil. Bake 350 degrees for 4 hours. The last 15 minutes, remove foil. Slice across the grain. For any leftovers (save juices), break up meat. Add onion and barbecue sauce with juices and serve on buns. Serves 6.
