ROAST AND GRAVY AS TOLD TO ME BY UNCLE FRANK | |
Roast Salt Garlic salt Onion, sliced Toothpicks Sprinkle salt and garlic salt on roast. Cover roast with sliced onions, held in place with toothpicks. Cook 1 hour at 375 degrees. Then drop off the onion slices and cook another 1/2hour at 350 degrees. GRAVY: 1 glass water Ketchup 1 tbsp. flour 1 jar beef gravy Remove the roast and add a glass of water, a few good shakes of ketchup, ("ketchup?" - "Do you want it to taste good?" - "Yes" - "Then add the ketchup" - "Okay" - Now can I finish?" - "Okay"), 1 tablespoon flour, and 1 jar of beef gravy into the drippings. Heat and stir until thick. |
