AUNT CHRISTINE'S BLACK WALNUT CAKE | |
2 cups sugar 1 cup (2 sticks) butter 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour 1/4 tsp. salt 1 cup coarsely chopped black walnuts (floured) 1 tsp. vanilla extract 1 tsp. lemon extract 6 eggs 2 tsp. confectioners' sugar (for sprinkling) Preheat oven to 325°F. In a large bowl, place ingredients in the order listed, except for the confectioners' sugar. Beat slowly til blended. Mix on high for 5 minutes. Turn in greased tube pan. Bake at 325°F for 1 hour 15 minutes or until cake tests done. Let cool in pan for 5 minutes. Sprinkle with confectioners' sugar. Submitted by: Barry Zgorski |
