1 c. all-purpose flour
1/2 c. salt
2 tsp. cream of tartar
2 tbsp. salad oil
1 c. water
Desired food coloring

Mix well all ingredients and cook over low heat, stirring constantly until very stiff (4 to 5 minutes). Knead on wax paper and store in plastic bag or plastic bowl with lid.
