3 c. flour
6 tsp. cream of tartar
3 c. water
1 1/2 c. salt
3 tbsp. oil
Food coloring

Mix all ingredients and cool, stirring over medium high heat. Add coloring while stirring. Form into a ball after kneading a few times. Store in airtight containers or plastic bags.

NOTE: This provides hours or fun for children and keeps well. (Use as clay or cut shapes with cookie cutters.)
