GREEN CORN TAMALE PIE 
12 lg. ears of corn
1/4 lb. butter
Minced garlic to taste
1 sm. can green chili peppers, chopped
Milk (optional)
Salt to taste
1 lb. Cheddar cheese, grated

Grate corn; scrape. Cook in butter in heavy skillet until done, stirring frequently. Add garlic and chili peppers. Stir in small amount of milk, if needed. Add salt. Place half the mixture in buttered baking dish. Sprinkle with half the cheese. Add remaining corn mixture and top with remaining cheese. Bake at 350 degrees for about 1 hour. Yield: 12 servings.
