ROLLED OAT COOKIES 
2 c. brown sugar
1 c. shortening
2 eggs
1/2 c. milk
1/2 c. boiling water
3 c. rolled oats
3 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. raisins

Cream sugar, shortening and eggs. Add milk and boiling water. Add oats, flour, soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, vanilla and raisins. Mix and drop by spoonfuls on cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees.
