FRENCH STEW 
3 lbs. stew meat
3 lg. carrots
1 c. onions
1 (16 oz.) can tomatoes
1 (16 oz.) can peas, drained
1 (10 3/4 oz.) can beef consomme
1 (16 oz.) can green beans, drained
1 c. white wine (opt.)
1/4 c. minute tapioca
1 tbsp. brown sugar
1/2 c. fine dry bread crumbs
1 bay leaf
1 tbsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper

Combine all ingredients in large pan and bake covered 6 to 8 hours at 250 degrees. Or cook in crock pot 8 to 10 hours. This freezes well. Divide into meals to suit your family.
