BUTTERNUT SQUASH OR PUMPKIN CAKE 
1 1/2 c. corn oil
2 c. sugar (1 brown & 1 white)
3 c. plain flour
2 tsp. baking powder
2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. allspice
3 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. salt
2 c. pumpkin or squash (cooked, mashed, cold)
2 tsp. vanilla
4 eggs
1 c. raisins
1 c. dates

Mix oil, sugar, spices, salt, pumpkin or squash, soda, eggs and flour; beat well. (Mix raisins with 2 teaspoons flour.) Add vanilla, nuts and floured raisins. Pour into greased tube pan. Bake 1 1/2 hours or less at 300 degrees.
