SWISS CHICKEN HAM BAKE 
1/2 c. chopped onion
3 tbsp. all-purpose flour
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 c. light cream
2 c. cubed cooked chicken or turkey
1 c. cubed cooked ham
1/2 c. shredded Swiss cheese
3 tbsp. butter, melted
2 tbsp. butter
1/2 tsp. salt
3 oz.c an sliced mushroom
2 tbsp. dry sherry
1 (5 oz.) can sliced water chestnuts, drained
1 1/2 c. soft bread crumbs

Cook onion in 2 tablespoons butter until tender but not brown. Blend flour, salt and pepper. Add undrained mushrooms, cream and sherry, cook and stir until thickened. Add chicken, ham and water chestnuts.

Pour into 1 1/2 quart casserole. Top with cheese. Mix bread crumbs and melted 3 tablespoons butter and sprinkle around edge of casserole. Bake in hot oven at 400 degrees until lightly brown, about 25 minutes. Serves 6. Easy, can do ahead.
