OVEN BARBECUED CHICKEN 
1 small (2 1/2 lb.) whole fryer chicken, cut up into 8 pieces
salt and pepper, to taste
liquid smoke (optional)
barbecue sauce (I use Sweet Baby Ray's)

Wash chicken well. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. Rub a little liquid smoke on each piece. Place on greased broiler pan, skin side down.

Use broil setting on oven for about 15 minutes. Turn, skin side up, and broil for another 15 minutes.

Remove from oven and brush with your favorite barbecue sauce.
