BRAISED SHORT RIBS OF BEEF 
2 lbs. beef short ribs
1 lg. onion, sliced
1 1/2 tsp. salt
Water

Brown short ribs in hot oil. Transfer to baking pan. Add 1 1/2 teaspoons salt and enough water to cover bottom of pan. Add sliced onions. Cover tightly and cook at 300 degrees for 2 1/2 hours. Serves 4.
