CHICK PEA DIP - HUMMUS 
1 (1 lb.) can chick peas, drained
1/4 c. vegetable oil
3 tbsp. lemon juice
1 lg. or 2 sm. cloves of garlic
Salt and pepper to taste

Put all ingredients into blender. Blend on high speed until smooth. Chill in serving dish. Serve with raw vegetables.

This is wonderful, inexpensive and tasty. I used 1/8 cup veg oil and 1/8 cup Extra Virgin Olive Oil. I like to serve it with pita bread warmed quickly in a bit of butter. Kids even like it.

This is indeed a great, inexpensive recipe. And if you are like me and don't have tahini or sesame seeds readily available, this makes a great dish anyway.
