HOMEMADE BANANA CAKE 
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. Crisco
2 eggs
1 c. milk
1/2 tsp. vanilla
2 c. flour
2 very ripe bananas, mashed
2 tsp. water
1 tsp. baking soda
1 heaping tsp. baking powder

Blend together sugar and Crisco. Add eggs, milk and vanilla. Mix in flour and beat well. Add bananas. Mix water with baking soda and add to the batter. Put in the baking powder and mix well. Pour batter into two 9-inch greased and floured cake pans and bake at 350°F for 20 minutes or until done.
