1 (#10) can (or gallon) pork & beans 1/2 lb. brown sugar 1/2 jar molasses (normal size) 1/2 bottle catsup (normal size) 1/2 lb. bacon 2 bell peppers, chopped 2 onions, chopped 1 tsp. dry mustard Dash liquid smoke (opt., but be careful) Drain beans well, fry bacon and crumble and set aside. Saute bell peppers and onions in bacon drippings. Then add this to the first four ingredients. Is ready to bake at 350 degrees until thickened, about 2 hours. |
