DATE-NUT BALLS 
1 stick butter
1 egg
1 c. sugar
1 c. chopped dates
1 c. chopped nuts
1 tsp. vanilla
1/4 tsp. salt
3 c. Rice Krispies

Mix together butter, egg and sugar and cook until sugar dissolves, stirring constantly. Add dates, nuts, vanilla and salt. Cook for 5 minutes, stirring constantly. Put Rice Krispies in a bowl. Pour cooked mixture over Krispies. Mix and roll into balls, one teaspoon size, roll in coconut and let cool.
