BATTER FRIED CLAMS 
1 pint clams (or chopped Quahogs)
2 c. all-purpose flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1/2 c. milk
3/4 c. clam broth
2 eggs
1 tbsp. butter

Make a batter and add clams. Drop by spoonfuls into deep hot fat, fry until golden brown on both sides. Remove from fat and place on paper towel. Serve hot.
