CHOCOLATE CRINKLES 
1 c. shortening
3-1/3 c. granulated sugar
4 tsp. vanilla
4 eggs
6 tbsp. unsweetened cocoa
2 tbsp. butter
4 c. self-rising flour
2/3 c. milk
1 c. powdered sugar (approximately)

Thoroughly cream shortening, sugar and vanilla.

Beat in eggs. In separate bowl, combine cocoa and melted butter; add to sugar mixture. Add flour alternately with milk. Chill for 3 hours. Form 1-inch balls and roll in powdered sugar. Place on greased cookie sheet.

Bake at 350°F for 10 to 12 minutes. Cool slightly, then remove from pan.
