CHOCOLATE CRINKLE PUFFS 
2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla
1/4 c. milk
3/4 c. (1 1/2 sticks) butter
3/4 c. firmly packed brown sugar
2 squares unsweetened chocolate, melted
1 egg
Granulated sugar

Measure flour, baking powder, salt, and soda together in bowl; set aside. Cream butter with brown sugar until fluffy; in medium size bowl, beat in melted chocolate, egg, vanilla and milk. Blend in dry ingredients, a third at a time, blending well to make a stiff dough.

Roll dough a teaspoonful at a time into marble size balls; roll in granulated sugar. Place about 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheets. Bake in moderate 350 degree oven for 8 minutes or until tops are crackled. Remove carefully from cookie sheets. Cool on wire racks.
