4 1/2 c. granulated sugar
1 lg. can evaporated milk
3 (6 oz.) pkgs. chocolate chips
1 (10 oz.) pkg. miniature marshmallows
1/2 c. butter
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. chopped nuts (optional)

Mix sugar and milk in a large heavy saucepan and slowly bring to a rolling boil. Let mixture boil for 8 minutes.

Remove saucepan from heat and add chocolate chips, marshmallows and butter. Mix only until chips and marshmallows are melted. Add vanilla and nuts. Blend. Spread mixture in a large ungreased pan. Let cool and cut into small squares.
