ORANGE POUND CAKE 
1 c. shortening
2 c. sugar
4 eggs
1/2 oz. bottle orange extract
1/2 tsp. red cake color
1 tsp. yellow cake color
1 tsp. butter flavoring
1/2 tsp. salt
3/4 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tbsp. vinegar

Cream shortening and sugar. Add eggs one at a time; mix well. Then add extract, color and salt. Sift flour and add alternately with buttermilk. Mix soda and vinegar in a small bowl and add to the above mixture. Blend well. Bake in a 9 or 10 inch tube pan that has been greased and dusted with flour at 325 degrees for about an hour or until a toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Do not overbake.
