QUICK BANANA APPLE BREAD 
2 c. sifted flour
2 1/4 tsp. double acting baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
3/4 tsp. cinnamon
1/3 c. butter
1 c. brown sugar
2 eggs
Pulp of 1 very ripe med. sized banana
1 med. sized apple, grated
1/2 c. broken nut meats (opt.)

Have all ingredients at about 70 degrees. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Sift together flour, baking powder, salt and cinnamon. Set aside. Blend butter and brown sugar (may need to use fingers or pastry blender). Beat into sugar mixture the eggs and fruit. Add the sifted ingredients in about 3 parts. Beat the batter after each addition until smooth. If desired, fold in nut meats. Place the batter in a greased bread pan. Bake about 1 hour or until done. Cool before slicing. Will slice best if after cooling, bread is wrapped in foil and refrigerated 12 hours.
