CHEESE BETTY 
5 loaves sliced bread
3 1/2 gal. milk
4 doz. eggs
12 lb. grated cheese
5 tbsp. salt
3 tsp. pepper
2 lb. soft butter

Butter casseroles. Place layer of bread, layer of cheese; 2nd layer of bread and 2nd layer of cheese; third layer of buttered bread. Beat eggs slightly and mix with milk, seasoned with salt and pepper. Just before putting casseroles into oven, pour over 1 quart milk and egg mixture. Bake 25 minutes. Serve immediately.
