WHITE SAUCE FOR SCALLOPED
POTATOES
 
3 tbsp. butter
3 tbsp. floir
1 1/2 c. milk
1/4 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. peppers
Potatoes for four
Onion
Cheese

Melt butter in 4 cup measure in microwave. Stir in flour. Heat milk in 2 cup measure for 2 minutes. Stir milk into flour mixture until smooth. Add salt and pepper. Cook uncovered 5-6 minutes on roast or until mixture boils and thickens, stir twice. Pour sauce over sliced potatoes and onion. Top with grated cheese. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 to 1 1/2 hours.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
