SHIRLEY'S FRENCH PASTRY 
1 stick butter
2 tbsp. water
1 c. flour

Mix as for pie crust and pat in a jelly roll pan, 11x15 inches. Cool well.

Bring to a boil 1 cup water and 1 stick butter. Add 1 cup flour. Take off the stove and add 3 eggs, one at a time, beating well after each. Add 1 teaspoon almond flavoring. Spread over crust that is cooled. Bake at 350 degrees for 55 minutes.

Frost with: 1/2 tsp. almond flavoring 2 tbsp. hot water Powdered sugar to make spreading consistency

Do not make on a humid day. It's crispness is one of its outstanding characteristics!
