QUEEN OF PUDDINGS 
1 pt. grated soft bread crumbs
1 qt. milk
3/4 c. sugar
4 egg yolks well beaten, save whites for meringue
Soft butter size of an egg
Vanilla to taste

Mix all ingredients, pour in buttered pan or casserole. Set in pan of hot water and bake 1 hour at 325 degrees or until set. (Knife put into custard comes out clean.) Spread with tart jelly. Cover with meringue and bake until slightly brown. Serve with dollop of whipped cream, if desired.
